At the heart of the MCD-B series is a core made from micro carbide MC63 powdered steel. A sophisticated tempering regime produces the ultra hard 63 degrees of hardness on the Rockwell Scale.

Razor sharp cutting edge of 9.5 to 12 degrees.
50 layers of select steel on each side of the MC63 core. The elegant blade is formed as 101 layers are precision ground to expose beautiful flower Damascus patterns and wavy Katana edge.

The traditional Japanese D shaped handle is made of Masur Birchwood - famous for its warm tone and richly rippled grain. It is embellished with a mosaic pin and a decorative end-cap featuring the Miyabi logo.
